Supersand are 1mm diameter spheres that are used by Kabrians to form membranes and physical shields. It's used in Terrahypts protective membrane that separates its inner workings from the outer world.
As a membrane configuration, Supersand can be controlled to form openings and enclosed spheres that can transport any object in and out from whatever the membrane is enveloping.
